Joining the VOPN Network, Criteria & Directions

To join VOPN you must be military active, a veteran, or a veteran family member. VOPN connects online pagers with members and websites relating to veterans, troops and their families. As part of the Network you will be able to page members online, talk to online members via instant messages & chat, as well as meet in our virtual chat rooms. Members can build their own chat areas (free) or schedule their online meetings in one of our chat rooms.

You are eligible to join if you have ICQ & Yahoo pager installed and at least one posted on your webpage. You and your website must also fit into one of following categories:

Veteran
Military Active
Veteran family member
SDIT (sons & daughters in touch)

Don't have an online pager? Free (yes they are free) Download & install now

Yahoo Pager. and ICQ.

To join, add the code below (copy & paste) to your website. Before you copy please read:

Be sure your have Yahoo Pager. and ICQ.installed on your system.
Copy the banner (IMAGE SRC="vnicq.gif") to your computer
Upload the banner graphic to your Internet Server.
If your graphic directory is seperate from your webpage files, adjust the code below to meet the path for your graphic files.
Please make sure that the links are easily accessible to the other members of the ring. Either place the connecting code on your main page or have a direct, easy to find link to the connecting code on your main page.
Now just copy and paste the following code into your webpage.

NOTE: If you are using a html editor, you may have to paste the code into your webpage opened in a text editor such as note pad. Save the file, then open your HTML application to edit the page.

IMPORTANT: When the above code and banner graphic is in his place email us here. Write "Code is in place" in the subject line of your email; please include the name of your website, your URL, ICQ number and Yahoo ID in the body of your email.
Don't Forget : To complete the Yahoo cycle and join The Yahoo Veteran webring, go to the the Veteran ICQ Network Yahoo sign in page and complete the form. You will be notified when your site has passed inspection.
