he Red Cross' Operation Care and Comfort Military Care Package  Program "exists to provide support and comfort “adopted” units of deployed U.S. military service members, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and conflict regions, by sending care packages containing needed items. We ship to these units on a monthly basis, until they return home"ir place.

 You can retire your tattered, worn out and frayed American flags without cost to you

We have been honored to feature this group several times over the years, WTG KTG!  Send your flags to the Kitchen Table Gang Trust, 42922 Avenue 12, Madera, CA 93638-8866; they will dispose of your flags in a proper and dignified manner with full honors and dignity pursuant to the United States Flag Code Section 8K (PL93-344).  The flag retirement ceremonies are held on Flag Day, June 14th each year and are conducted by an all volunteer U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard led by GySgt.   U.S. Helicopters Deliver Aid to Indonesia
BANDA ACEH, Indonesia (AP) - A massive American military relief operation picked up steam on Monday with U.S. helicopters dropping off cartons of food aid in Sumatra and U.S. warships with 2,200 Marines arriving in the Malacca Straits to begin ferrying supplies to the tsunami-battered island. To get a firsthand look at the devastation, a U.S. delegation including Secretary of State Colin Powell and Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Monday begins a trip that includes stops in Thailand, Indonesia and perhaps Sri Lanka. More »


Americans Speed Aid to Tsunami-Hit Asia
KARIM RAJIA, Indonesia (AP) - U.S. helicopters rescued dozens of desperate and weak tsunami survivors, including a young girl clutching a stuffed Snoopy dog, as the American military relief operation reached out to remote areas of Indonesia with cartons of food and water on Monday. Although the United States was not among the first at the scene after last week's natural disaster thousands of miles from American shores, it is now spearheading the international relief effort and delivering more supplies than any other nation.
