"Let's all suggest to our group members that we "set a place" at
our holiday tables for our adopted kids ... a "trooper at the table".
Literally. Plate, knife and fork, etc. and a place card if you are so
inclined. A reminder of one of the many things we have for which to be
thankful. And a way to keep them in our hearts and prayers"
Marilyn Carter, Adopt-a-Unit Tri-Valley |

| Send an audio message to our soldiers. Soldiers Radio is
providing an opportunity to let us tell our soldiers that we care and are
thinking about them during the Holidays.
Simply call 1-800-330-5090 and leave a message. Your recorded personalized message will be
played back on www.SoldiersRadio.com.
You can record a short message (30 seconds maximum) to friends, family members
or just a random message of good will.
Soldiers Radio will then take your message and put it on the radio Web
cast throughout the Holiday Season. The
cut-off date to leave a message is December 15. |

PBS Frontline: Truth,
War and Consequences Five
months after George W. Bush officially declared victory in Iraq, doubts over
U.S. claims about the existence of weapons of mass destruction continue. What
did the administration really know prior to the war? From office water
coolers to U.N. halls, everyone has an opinion. Into the firestorm ventures
"Frontline", unflinchingly dissecting the reasons for going to war, examining
what's gone wrong, and weighing what's at stake. Bush has presented himself
as a leader of integrity, but where does he stand on the
"truthometer" scale? Interviews from key players and a who-said-what
timeline help you decide. Moving beyond partisan posturing, how
could coalition forces have done a better job with pre-war
intelligence? Could they have disbanded tribal turf wars that have led to
looting and continued casualties? Are we now prepared for nation
building? True, hindsight is 20/20, but when the stakes are this high,
we can certainly learn from recent history |
