Candidate for Region 4 BOD....

    My platform is simple:  I feel like there is too much of a gap between National and the local grass-roots chapters.  There is the perception of "Us" and "Them" and the "Them" (national) is the ones making policies and directions without input from the individual chapters.  VVA is the "Local Chapter".  National must pay attention the to needs and wishes of Chapters. 

    Secondly, I feel that there is entirely too many trips by the same individuals, going back to Vietnam.  When we cannot afford to publish our magazine monthly, how can we afford to keep sending these same individuals to Vietnam?  We need to take a really close look at the money that is being spent on travel. 

    A good member of the Board of Directors should listen to the voice of its' members.  If elected, I will do just that.
