Color Guard 801st
Engineers, United States Reserve, located at Oakland Army Base, Oakland,
California. It’s parent command was formed during World War II as the 63rd
Infantry Division. During combat in both France and Germany its members
were noted for valor, endurance and teamwork. Those same commitments have
been carried on by its soldiers that served in Korea, Viet Nam, Desert
Storm and recently Kosovo, Representing the command today are Sergeant
Clint Jassen, Specialist David Holicker, Specialist Chris Ortiz, and Specialist
Emanuel Toro.

Northern California World War One Veterans, this Color Guard made up of
younger men is dressed in authentic original World War One uniforms serves
to keep the memory of our “Doughboy Heroes” alive. Immediately following
the color Guard are the antique cars and World War One ambulance of the
same time period.

The 555th or “The
Triple Nickels” was the 1st all black parachute Military unit in the world.
It became part of the 82nd Airborne Division in Dec. 1947 the first black
unit in military history to become a part of an American combat Division.
Members today are available to speak at schools and civic groups. Contact
